First Holy Communion Course
Information about the First Holy Communion Course, including what is required for the course and the Application Form, can be found under Sacraments here.
Please ensure you look at the Course Requirements in order to attend this course as we cannot accept children until registration is completed.
Parents must have completed the Anchor Course.
Your child’s Baptism certificate must be uploaded
The online covenant form completed.
Sessions 1 to 3 of the course take place on a Saturday - 9.45 am to 1.00 pm.
Session 4 of the course takes place from 10.45 am to 1.00 pm at St Francis de Sales Presbytery.
Application Deadline
The deadline to apply for the next course, which will prepare those who wish to receive the Sacraments in 2025, has now passed and the course has started, so it is too late to join this course now.
The next course will register in the early spring of 2025, and dates and other information will be posted here when available.
If your child will be 9 years old by September 2024, they should join the Youth RCIA program which will start in the Autumn.
Course Dates 2024 / 2025
The dates for the course preparing children to receive the Sacraments in 2025 and the dates for the Sacraments are as follows:
Session 4 of the course will take place at the presbytery at St. Francis de Sales between 10:45 am - 1pm
It is important for all children to attend the rehearsal so that they are completely familiar and happy with what will happen at the First Communion Mass.
