St Bernard, the Rule of Benedict and The Nuremburg Code
The Feast of St Bernard on 20th August seems to coincide this year with the 75th Anniversary of the Nuremberg Code. Is there a connection? Is this a coincidence? No, it is something more - it is a God-incidence!
It was the option taken by St Benedict to form a fellowship of Faith, Hope and Charity enlivened by the grace of Jesus Christ which gave us the Benedictine monasteries. It is these monasteries that eventually rebuilt the West after the Fall of the Roman Empire and it’s subsequent Dark Ages. St Bernard represents one of the great flowerings of the Benedictine Order, the Cistercians, who built out of swamps, deserts and wildernesses a veritable oasis of gardens, tilled fields, an abundance of crops, aquaducts of water technology that gave us the soil for Christendom to arise. Whilst in the scriptorium, before the printed press, they copied, translated and put together the writings that covered the Bible, Philosophy, Science, Laws, Histories and Engineering of the Classical period that was saved from the pillage, fire and destruction of the Barbarians in the Dark Ages. Through the Divine Word written in human minds and hearts and tilling the world of animal, husbandy and soil there was brought forth crops to eat, wisdom to live by, poets and writers to imagine anew, inventions to progress with and souls to soar into the heavens above! All built on the Rule of St Benedict!
We find in the 20th Century a similar option called the Nuremberg Code that also sought to rebuild the West after the appalling use of Medical Institutions, Medical Practices and members of the Medical Profession in concentration camps like Dachau and Auschwitz by the Nazis.
However, there has been during these last 2 years an amnesia with regards to the Nuremberg Code that rides on the waves of a globalist agenda that, like the Barbarians of Old, seeks to destroy the Western way of life and Western culture. A Western culture that ultimately derives from the patrimony of Philosophy from the Greeks, Law from the Romans and the Biblical tradition from the Hebrews, which was formed into a great Christian Synthesis called Catholicism.
The Nuremberg Trials used the morality of the Natural Law to deal with the Nazis defence that they were ‘only following orders!’ Consequently, as a warning from History for the centuries to come, in 1947 the judges and lawyers at Nuremberg produced the Nuremberg Code. A Code that, sadly, nearly every Government and nearly every Health Institution today has ignored and indeed broken in these last two years despite the denials made by apologists for said governments and institutes. They are not alone in breaking this code as there have been many Christian leaders and authorities that have also forgotten and broken this code.
So let us now all examine for ourselves the Nuremberg Code and ask ourselves how far we have kept it or broken it by reading it’s contents below:
The Nuremberg Code (1947) - Permissible Medical Experiments
The great weight of the evidence before us to effect that certain types of medical experiments on human beings, when kept within reasonably well-defined bounds, conform to the ethics of the medical profession generally. The protagonists of the practice of human experimentation justify their views on the basis that such experiments yield results for the good of society that are unprocurable by other methods or means of study. All agree, however, that certain basic principles must be observed in order to satisfy moral, ethical and legal concepts:
1. The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential.
a. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent;
b. should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion;
c. and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision.
i. This latter element requires that before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted;
ii. all inconveniences and hazards reasonably to be expected; and the effects upon his health or person which may possibly come from his participation in the experiment.
iii. The duty and responsibility for ascertaining the quality of the consent rests upon each individual who initiates, directs, or engages in the experiment. It is a personal duty and responsibility which may not be delegated to another with impunity.
2. The experiment should be such as to yield fruitful results for the good of society, unprocurable by other methods or means of study, and not random and unnecessary in nature.
3. The experiment should be so designed and based on the results of animal experimentation and a knowledge of the natural history of the disease or other problem under study that the anticipated results justify the performance of the experiment.
4. The experiment should be so conducted as to avoid all unnecessary physical and mental suffering and injury.
5. No experiment should be conducted where there is an a priori reason to believe that death or disabling injury will occur; except, perhaps, in those experiments where the experimental physicians also serve as subjects.
6. The degree of risk to be taken should never exceed that determined by the humanitarian importance of the problem to be solved by the experiment.
7. Proper preparations should be made and adequate facilities provided to protect the experimental subject against even remote possibilities of injury, disability or death.
8. The experiment should be conducted only by scientifically qualified persons. The highest degree of skill and care should be required through all stages of the experiment of those who conduct or engage in the experiment.
9. During the course of the experiment the human subject should be at liberty to bring the experiment to an end if he has reached the physical or mental state where continuation of the experiment seems to him to be impossible.
10.During the course of the experiment the scientist in charge must be prepared to terminate the experiment at any stage, if he has probable cause to believe, in the exercise of the good faith, superior skill and careful judgment required of him, that a continuation of the experiment is likely to result in injury, disability, or death to the experimental subject.
Today, the Barbarians are at the walls of our civilisation, indeed, they have gotten over the walls and are now inside! We may well need to make a Benedict option, if the last two years are repeated in the coming Autumn and Winter.
The lunatics have taken over the ayslum and a Third World War has begun and it is a War between Globalists and the Rest of Humanity! For instance, here are some of the things that the lunatics have got idiots saying:
some say that the planet is over populated, so we got to find a way to get the majority of the old and young to euthanise or sterilize themselves!
Some of our people today are so green that they are saying that to save the planet from green gases we need to turn off the fires and kill off a third of the world’s population; Green Genocide!
Others say that we need to put those who have not taken the serum or are anti-serum into concentration camps!
Others say we got to either freeze or starve the people in order to fight against the Invaders of the East by food, finance and energy sanctions!
Others say we got to save the economy by taking away everone’s money, so that though they will not own anything, still, they will be happy!
Others say we got to take away all the people’s cars and get them back on their bikes, so let us reduce all our speed signs down to 20mph!
Others say we got to get rid of cattle and corn and get people to eat bugs and insects, so let the Corporations buy up all the farms or bribe the farmers to not grow anything at all!
These are just some of the crazy things now being said today by ‘useful idiots’ who serve the Globalist lunatics. Please don’t join their ranks, rather, stay with the poor, truly faithful Catholics and the rest of the human race still possessing common sense and critical thought. We may be a remnant but we are the real future, for it is they who are the Walking Dead!
