Ash Wednesday
On Ash Wednesday we attend Mass to begin the Lenten season with the proper attitude and reflection, during which our foreheads are marked with ashes to humble our hearts and a reminder that “you are dust and to dust you will return” ( Gn 3:19).
We are reminded that we are called to turn away from sin, to repent
and to believe the Good News of our salvation through Jesus Christ.
Start of Lent
Wednesday, 5th March 2025 begins our Lenten journey.
It is the start of 40 days of prayer, penance and almsgiving as we prepare ourselves to celebrate
the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday.
Mass Times for Ash Wednesday
There are two Masses in the Parish and both will include the imposition of Ashes.
