Caritas “Love Christmas” Campaign 2024

For the last three years, Northampton Diocese has supported the Caritas Christmas Campaign to help those in need. These campaigns were extremely successful and the Diocese worked closely with Age UK, Level Trust, the Children's Trust, Daisy Chain Children & Family Centers, Borough & County Councils and other organisations to ensure that all the donations received were distributed to 3,300 local people genuinely in need.

All gifts were gratefully received and put smiles on lots of faces at Christmas.

This year, the Diocese is once again inviting all parishes to take part in the "Love Christmas Campaign." And we have signed up to be part of this again.

Aim of the Campaign

The Caritas Christmas Campaign seeks to provide some happiness and joy to those who are in most need at Christmas.  This is particularly important at this time, when the cost of living is spiralling and people find themselves with worries over money for food and heating as well as feeling alone.

Caritas aims to reach out to all those who are struggling, with their Bags of Kindness.

What is ‘Love Christmas’

‘Love Christmas’ is a national campaign, but is organised and works locally.  It provides simple Christmas Gifts in its ‘bags of kindness’ which are distributed to children, families and the elderly, who live in poverty or who live alone, as well as young carers and children from broken homes or who are in care.

All donations will go to those in need locally.

How can I join in

Bags and boxes will soon be at the back of both Churches for you to put your donations in.

Anything you would give as a gift to a family member or to a friend is suitable and will be distributed to someone in need locally.

The last day for your donations is Sunday, 8th December, so that these can be distributed in time for Christmas.
