Rev dear Rev: How is it that the Church, and here I am speaking of the principal church in the West, the Catholic Church, can produce endless decrees on viruses and vaccines, and yet neglect the suffering of the starving children in Yemen?

Well, we are in the middle of a vast global pandemic and one which would have reached the other planets if we had but colonised them too at this juncture; if we had, as Elon says, established our footprints all over the Moon and Mars and Titan, but that is why decrees about viruses and vaccines have been produced. We are not indifferent to the suffering of the majority of humankind on this planet - decrees have been necessary since God in his provident care has raised up science bods like Sarah and Victoria to save the world with a little bit of help from the holy mother Church too. As to the other matter, the Catholic Church, as a mother and teacher or Mater et Magistra, is the largest medicare provider in the world and it has appointed many CAFOD and Red Cross agents in the field to coordinate efforts in places abroad like Yemen.
