Borders

Fr dear Fr: Why do my parish clergy have dealings with some sick and housebound and elderly and not with others of my ilk?

Some clergy will be easterners and with have a flexible account of the whole concept of the parish with flexible borders following personalities and people, but other clergy will be westerners and retain a strict geographic or geo-political concept of the local parish border. Apparently, the lady in question lives on the borders of the parish dividing two parishes one from another so this may be the problem at heart, especially since some clergy, especially religious clergy will expect to be notified every time one of the other parish clergies cross those borders, quite strict the religious ones. Now there is some exception for canonists who have a more fluid arrangement and there is a canon lawyer in the lady’s home parish one believes, so he may obtain dispensations to travel quite freely outside his or her parish or his or her deanery or his or her diocese, even outside the local ep conference, where say he or she is looking into cases of apparitions or visions or whichever and needs to journey afar to take evidence from the little girls or boys who may have seen things such as occurred not long ago in Scotland at Kilberry Caves by the sea and then in Cornwall at Marazion near that Mount, but even then this is an exception, though I believe this occurred in this lady’s case regarding a lady just across the village boundaries from her house at a place called Bradville, but she was a lady who was recording visions from the Lady in grey and also from the Sacred Heart of the Lord, apparently, so some exceptional grounds can be found for canonists taking evidence and investigating visions and ghosts, and there is a canonist in her parish of H. Generally, though, some clergy or indeed most geographic and geopolitical clergy in ordinary parishes are westerners and these will be expected by others especially religious to adhere strictly to the protocols regarding the boundaries betwixt parishes, and where there is confusion about the precise layout of the border, these will be expected to err on the side of evangelical prudence and caution as well.
