We live in interesting times! We live in a moment of time where things seem to be coming together. Who would have thought that so many would seek to do only one thing and find a coalition never before seen, to do it? Who would have thought that so many governments, so many corporations, so many media organisations, so many people would come together to protest against Russia’s attack on the Ukraine especially when we consider all the other invasions we have seen over these many decades? Remember Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Georgia!

When you hear of nations coming together with banks and trans-national corporations to effect a coalition and do something unheard of before, namely, an effective and never before seen form of unity in enforcing sanctions against a Fascist form of Nationalism displayed by Russia [see too China], then consider this Gospel passage as to the source and origin of this global unity, global control and global reset where governments and private corporate businesses work together in total unity, even the banks in Switzerland [!]:

‘Then leading him to a height, the devil showed him in a moment of time all the kingdoms of the world and said to him, “I will give you all this power and the glory of these kingdoms, for it has been committed to me and I give it to anyone I choose. Worship me, then, and it shall be yours.”’ [Luke 4:5-7]

From this courageous unity there will come consequences, namely, fuel and energy prices will rise, despite cheap oil being available from Russia; food prices will rise as food production will be hampered because Russia is a major exporter of Nitrate Phosphates. These sanctions will affect Britain and Europe but the biggest impact will be on the ordinary people as well as ordinary Ukrainians and Russians, though I suspect President Putin has been preparing for this for some time.

Meanwhile, here in the UK, having undergone the Fear of Covid for two years, we have a new game in town, yet another game of fear, the fear of War, World War! In this new game we need to know that it is not about Left and Right nor about Imperialists and Nationalists as that world view has long since gone. But this game is about how a global coalition of governments apparently can get things done and we should all cheer it or be cancelled if we don’t! This is the first indicator of what global government looks like and it is a great global reset coming from the West that has not America leading it but an oscillating unity of countries ranging from the UK, France to Poland.

With this new game comes an old techique which looks new as people today speak about the Woke culture and the Cancel culture but really this is that old well tried method to stop free speech, to forbid alternative view points, opinions or data and it was practiced by Germany in 1933 when, funny enough, the students burned upwards of 25,000 volumes of "un-German" books in the square at the State Opera. So, as no debate was allowed over Covid, now no debate is permitted over the conflict between the Ukraine and Russia. Indeed, we are hearing about universities in the West cancelling Dostoevsky and Solzhenitsyn because they are Russian!

The lesson we will be forced to learn is that if we oppose this Global government then what is now happening to Russia and her people will eventually happen to us! We saw the first example of this lesson in the vaccine mandates or passports without which in some countries people could not even go into a shop to buy food; and we saw the second example of this lesson in Canada, which is still ongoing, where Trudeau used an Emergency Act to freeze the bank accounts of Truckers and any of their supporters! This is what the New World Order really is going to look like and it goes hand in hand with a new Philosophy and a new Religion of Man, a new biological, pharmaceutical and silicon Technology that creates an anti-Christ form of Transhumanism.

Indeed, the Great Global Reset will offer us stones for bread, stones we must use against any of our neighbours who may in the future oppose the Great Reset or who oppose now the new narrative about the Ukrainian situation, otherwise we will not be able to eat; for the Great Reset will change our stones into bread… but only if we are compliant! But Our Lord says, “Man does not live on bread alone” for Man lives also on the Word of God that opposes all powers that seek to usurp the place of God. For the Lord also says to us today in this season of Lent, “You must worship the Lord your God and serve him alone.”

As we saw before, with two years of the pandemic, the use of the politics of fear is again being used. This time we are being besieged by the propoganda of a never before seen alliance of governments, mass media, social media, trans-national corporations and banks that all work in unity against one superpower and all promote in the West the fear of a possible future, but it is now one portrayed as near certain, namely, a future that a third world war is imminent. And so like sheep we are to run into the arms of Big Daddy [Brother!] who alone can save us! The trouble is that a world war is one of a number of possible futures, yet people are being conditioned to believe it is a specific future that is presented as certain to happen. In other words, we are being conditioned to live not in the present, nor in the past but in a future that may or may never happen. We are being hypnotised by a great serpent, like a King Cobra, so as to be glued to a future that sacrifices both the past and the present for this future:

• the past is to be sacrificed as this is too dangerous as it may teach us that there is an historical context to this conflict that needs to be known and understood;

• the present too is to be sacrificed as we must cease asking searching questions and ignore inconvenient facts on the ground that run counter to the narrative;

• and so many of us are being drawn towards a state of mind where the future is not one of a number of possibilities, but of only one possibility, and this one is full of terror as it is the future of a world at war.

Here is how Satan makes people live in a mental dystopia of the future and cease to live hic et nunc, here and now, where reality is alone to be found, for the past has gone and the future has not yet arrived!

However, what will be certain is that ordinary people in Britain, Europe and Russia will pay for this attack and this new narrative by fuel, energy and food poverty not seen since the 1920s whilst the cabals of the super rich get richer at the expense of ordinary people who are always the ones who pay for war with loss, suffering and blood; as war is always profitable to those who sell arms, those who bet on the stock exchange and those who reclaim the property and wealth of the dead as the secret vaults of Switzerland testify!

Is this the culmination of a history marked by the rise of secular power, secular anti-life culture and secular hedonism and the exponential dimunition of religious life, moral life and religious culture where we are brought to a moment in time where all these nations, all these states, all these financial, media networks, platforms and websites, industrial and military companies, cartels and cabals put not just democracy to the test, put not just liberty to the test, put not just human life to the test but put the very patience of God to the test as they seem to seek total death for the many and vast profit for the few as the crowning achievement of this culture of death?

In such times as this when there is a whirlwind of opinions, a vortex of competing reports and a host of contradictory claims and opposing judgments we find ourselves either dizzy with spinning around these comminiques asking questions but not getting answers or we find ourselves set in the stone of certainy as to our perspectives and our viewpoints and not asking any questions but at war with those who question what we think. In such times, someone needs to say ‘Enough! We can never know for certain and nor can we know enough! But we can be kind, considerate and empathic to others without ‘othering’ them or wishing ill to them or wanting them eradicated!’

Indeed, we can harken to what the wisdom of the scriptures says for these wind swept times where many are being swept into a spirit of uncritical belligerence, it offers us a true centre that is the interior life of a God-graced-soul and it is here that we can be in the eye of the storm:

Happy indeed is the man who follows not the counsel of the wicked;

nor lingers in the way of sinners nor sits in the company of scorners,

but whose delight is the law of the Lord and who ponders his law day and night.

He is like a tree that is planted beside the flowing waters, that yields its fruit in due season…

Not so are the wicked, not so! For they like winnowed chaff shall be driven away by the wind. [Ps 1]
